This is a classic hunting rifle with some modern twists. The action used for this rifle is a Montana 1999 in stainless steel. The barrel is a Douglas XX in 7mm caliber and is chambered in 280 Ackley Improved. The barrel is 24 inches in length. The metal is finished in a fine glass bead finish. The stock is hand made from a blank of four individual Western New York Black Walnut boards and laminated with opposing grain structure. The bedding block is a piece of black ash inletted into the blank structure before lamination. The grip cap and fore end are Western New York Wild Cherry. The stock has a 1/4 inch of cast at the heel and an additional 1/8 inch of twist at the toe.
